Travellers by rail reach the glacier village via Visp, and change into the post-car with direct destination "Saas-Fee". Visitors travelling by train travel to Brig or Visp and change to the post bus with the direct destination 'Saas-Fee'. There are half hourly connections until 8.45 pm from Brig (friday and saturday 10.15 pm) and 9.10 pm from Visp (friday and saturday 10.40 pm).
Seat reservations are recommended for the return journey to Visp and Brig. Make your reservation here. Check your luggage in at your local station and collect it at the bus station at the Saas Valley post offices. NEAT - with the express onto the ski slopes. With the opening of the Lötschberg base tunnel, visitors travelling through Switzerland from the north can benefit from a reduced travelling time by one hour.
Visitors travelling by car from the north travel via Bern through the Lötschberg (railway car ferry), from the east via the Furka pass (or Furka car-train) and from the south via the Simplon pass (or Simplon car-train). You reach the Saas Valley from the west of Switzerland via Lausanne and through the Rhone valley to Visp.
Saas-Fee is a car free village. At the entrance you will find a big car park partially unsheltered. Fares are everywhere the same but we advise you to park your car in the underground floors. When you arrive you will find two sheltered zones for unloading luggage on two floors: Terminal A and Terminal B. At every car place is mentionned a number. You will also find telephones available for calling us. Our free number is the 7206. You can also reach us at the following number : +41 79 688 13 72. Mr. Brunner from Alpenrose will answer you. Tell him the number of your place in the luggage zone, so he can come to pick you up with your luggage (within 15 minutes). In the meantime, you can park your car in the underground floors. You arrive with Postbus
In front of the bus station you will see the Tourist Office. On the right side of that building you will find a panel with direct calling numbers. You can call Mr. Brunner with the free number 62 or with your cell phone at the +41 79 688 13 72. We will pick you up at this place next to the Tourist Office.
The day of your arrival, we bring your ski equipment to the private heated skiroom next to the slopes. On the evening before your departure, we bring back your ski equipement with your heavy luggage to your car. In the same building you will find a big ski-shop our sportshop partner: www.intersport-glacier.com.Here you can rent or buy your ski equipement. Our guests receive an extra reduction of 10%.

Arrival time: The chalet is cleaned and prepared for 16pm In the case of an earlier arrival, we can bring your luggage in the chalet or, eventually, if available, you can already settled in. Just call us prior to your arrival. We pay your attention that our transport service is available until 9pm
Departure day: The day before we bring your big luggage and ski equipment back to your car.
Taxi rides: At your arrival, as well as for the departure, 2 taxi rides are in price included (total of 4). If you need more rides, it has to be paid directly to Mr. Brunner (25 CHF per extra taxi ride).
Tourist tax: It is compulsory for all tourist spending one night in Saas Fee. You will receive a guest card that allows reductions in Saas-Fee, on cableways (10% for skiers), free buses, on parking fees and on many other attractions in Saas-Fee! In Summer cableways are free for pedestrians! For the parking paiment, you have to present your Burgerpass (CItizen pass) at the car park paiment machine and you will get the discount on your fare.
Shopping: All shops are opened on Saturdays until 6.30pm ; the mini food market next to our house is generally opened until 7pm. During high season shops are also opened on Sundays.
For your stay in the Chalet: We recommend you to wear slippers to prevent getting splinters in your feet. The Chalet is heated through geothermal energy with floor heating. The inside temperature is very comfortable so you don't need extra warm clothes.
